Bosom Buddies

Connor House Bosom Buddies is an entirely student-run non-profit service initiative with the mission to spread awareness about breast cancer and early detection, to aid and support those currently suffering from breast cancer, and to raise research funds for Friends for an Earlier Breast Cancer Test, a Greensboro-based organization that works toward finding alternative methods of earlier breast cancer detection.

After discovering that ten percent of women who die each year from breast cancer have symptoms that go unnoticed by mammograms, and knowing that breast cancer is the most common cause of death of women between the ages of 40 and 59, Connor House decided to dedicate its service efforts to Friends for an Earlier Breast Cancer Test. Since then, the women of Connor House have continued to raise awareness and funds to help find an earlier test for breast cancer.

Connor House threw the first Bosom Buddies Gala in 2001 and has continued to expand and improve the event ever since. In the nearly 20 year history of Bosom Buddies, we’ve gone from raising $3,000 in 2001 to over $110,000 in 2016, making us the largest philanthropic event in Davidson College history!

This year’s Bosom Buddies Gala will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2019.
